Tattoo Sourcebook at the Dublin Tattoo Convention!
Friday Jones got the U.K. excited over the Tattoo Sourcebook this past November when she took the TattooFinder.com book to the Dublin Tattoo Convention. The couture celebrity tattooist — not to mention Tattoo Sourcebook artist, contributing editor to the book and TattooFinder.com artist — hosted signings and other promotional events with fellow TF.com artist George. But we’ll let her tell you, herself:
“The Dublin Tattoo Convention was a study in ‘Events-Whose-Time-Had-Come.’ Paddy of Body Shock Piercing Studio in Temple Bar was the event organizer and, for one reason or another, he wasn’t able to have the show for the last two years. The Irish were super-duper ready for some vicious ink and the place was PACKED for three days straight. Dan Gold from "London Ink" remarked that he hadn’t seen such a well-received turnout at a convention in years.
“As for our lil’ project, the Tattoo Sourcebook sold out in FOUR HOURS. I was offered upwards of 160∍ EUR [ahem, that’s $223.46] for non-existent copies by Sunday. Every tattooist who purchased a book that day found his booth swarmed by enthusiastic collectors jockeying for their next piece. It was very satisfying to see how successfully this experiment worked on the competitive convention floor!”
Recently making her “mark” (so to speak) on Audrey O’Day and D. Woods of Danity Kane, Jones has built a clientele that includes Angelina Jolie and Janeane Garofalo, among other stars. TattooFinder was stoked to get her on board the Tattoo Sourcebook project! You can check out a brand new interview with this tempting tattooette on Tattoos-101.com next month…
